Victor Yanda, 23, 1716 Fourth Street, east, died of sinus trouble at midnight Saturday in a hospital at Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Mr. Yanda was a brakeman on the Illinois Central railroad. And had lived in Waterloo for 14 years. He went to visit an aunt, Mrs. Frank Yanda, and became ill shortly after reaching there. His wife and their 5 month old son, Richard Allen, were at his bedside when he died.

He was born at Traer, Iowa, March 23, 1902. He moved with his family to Iowa Falls, Iowa, in 1904 and later to Waterloo.

Besides the widow and son, he is survived by his father, James Yanda, who has been ill for four weeks in a hospital at Milwaukee, Wis., his mother Mrs. Hattie Yanda, and two brothers, Edward and Russell all of 1716 Fourth street, east.

The body was brought to Waterloo this morning. Funeral services will be at 9 AM. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic church. Rev. Theodosius Plassmeyer officiating. Members of the Ladies' auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen will meet at the church in a body to attend the services.
