WATERLOO — Rozella E. Wheeler, 91, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Jan. 3, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Clinton, Ill., daughter of Roy Francis and Bessie Johnson Russell. She married Don B. Wheeler on June 23, 1946, in Waterloo. He died in 1979.

Mrs. Wheeler graduated from Amboy High School, Amboy, Ill., and attended Dickinson’s Secretarial School. She was a bookkeeper for Coca Cola Bottling in Waterloo and retired from Black’s Department Store. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for the Cedar Valley Food Pantry and Meals on Wheel program. She was past president of the Letter Carriers’ Auxiliary and a past member of the Lincoln School PTA.

Survived by: two sons, Michael D. (Lori) of Kissimmee, Fla., and John R. (Janice) of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Andrew and Jeff Wheeler, Jodi (Mark) McKinstry and Dawn Russell; eight great-grandchildren, Stephen, Bryce, Matthew, Cara, Emma, Tyson, Taylor and Trystin; and a sister, Ruth Baier of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Roy Russell Jr.; and a sister, Evelyn Carter.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, and an hour before services Saturday at the church.
