CEDAR FALLS — Wendall Marvin Cross, 96, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

He was born April 6, 1916, in Colwell, son of Charles and Ruth Hess Cross. He married Cleo Young on April 6, 1946, in Vermillion, S.D.

Mr. Cross attended school at Colwell and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He drove a semi for Capital Tobacco, Charles City, for 25 years, and retired from Rath Packing Co. in 1975.

Survived by his wife; and two sisters, Lavona Knight of Ankeny and Glendola DeWalle of Charles City.

Preceded in death by a brother, Harvey; and five sisters, Lila Cline, Marlys Young, Lorraine Eytcheson, Shirley Minus and Emma Broderick.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at United Church of Christ, 9204 University Ave., Cedar Falls, with fellowship following at AMVETS Post No. 49. Iowa Cremation, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
