Marguerite Knapp, 71, of 308 Lester St., died Thursday, June 11.

She was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Waterloo, daughter of Wilfrid and Delia Routhier LaPierre. She married Donald H. Knapp on Feb. 26, 1944 at Waterloo.

Mrs. Knapp was employed at Zeidler Manufacturing as a secretary for 10 years. She was past president of St. Mary's Rosary Society.

Survivors include her husband; a son David of Kansas City, Mo.; four daughters: Linda Fink of Jersey City, N.J., Judy Licata of Las Vegas, Susan Freeland of Humansville, Mo., and Kathy Knapp of Santa Barbara, Calif.; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Fred LaPierre of San Diego and Leo LaPierre of Waterloo; and two sisters, Mary Gindt of Waterloo and Yvonne Duffy of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Hilare "Frenchy" LaPierre; and a sister in infancy.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home, where there will be a 3 p.m. serviced by the Rosary Society rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also to be one hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be given to the St. Mary's School Fund.
