Florence E. Bowers-Fisher, 86, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 7, 2001, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of heart failure.

She was born July 18, 1914, in LuVerne, daughter of Carl F. and Anna Dieckoff Goetsch. She married Joseph Bowers on June 15, 1935. They were later divorced. She married Sig Fisher in December 1970. They were later divorced.

She worked as a waitress at the Jefferson House for many years.

Survived by two sons, James E. Bowers of St. Paul, Minn., and Eugene C. Bowers of Hudson; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Goetsch of Spirit Lake and Delmar Goetsch of Los Angeles.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon K. French; four brothers; and six sisters.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Episcopal Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Garden View Chapel, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
