Gleason P. Richardson died of consumption last Friday morning. He had been sick for a long time and his death was not unexpected.

His funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the residence, four miles north of the city, Rev. R. Garton, pastor of the Baptist church, conducting the services. The remains were laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Richardson was 37 years of age and spent some years in the late war, being in six engagements. A wife and four children survive him and have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
