Last Wednesday night, Miss Harriet Grout, daughter of S. B. Grout of East Waterloo township, died at the age of 32 years of consumption.

About two years since she was attacked with hemorrhage and has had such attacks several times since. For some time past she has been growing gradually weaker until death came to her relief.

Deceased was a very well-informed and talented lady, and was a great reader, keeping throughly posted on the current events of the day. She was also a very accomplished scholar in mathematics, having rare talent in that direction.

The funeral services were held Friday, Rev. R. Garton officiating. This is the fourth death in this family in a very few years, the mother and three children having been called to the better life. The relatives have the sympathy of all their friends in this sad bereavement.
