[Waterloo Times Tribune, Friday, January 13, 1905]

Mrs. Mary M. Calkins died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S.D. Scoville, 412 Bratnober Street, at 5:30 o'clock yesterday morning.

Complications coming with old age were the cause of death, the lady being eighty-two years of age.

She was a resident of Traer until seven years ago when she came to this city to make her home, her husband, James D. Calkins, having died four years ago. The lady was practically an invalid and death relieved her from the pains of her illness.

She is survived by the daughter, at whose home she lived, and Jed and C.D. Calkins of this city, and Mrs. Sadie Tilton of Traer.

The funeral will be held tomorrow from the home and interment will be made in Fairview cemetery. The funeral will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. H.G. Beeman of the Walnut street Baptist church will conduct ther services. Interment will be made in Fairview.
