SHERK, FARNSWORTH, STIFER, SAYLOR

Mrs. Geo. Sherk died Monday night of inflammation of the bowels, aged about 49 years. She was taken sick Friday, previous to that time having been in good health.

Deceased was born in Welland county, Ontario, and was married at Buffalo, N. Y., to Geo. Sherk, about thirty years ago.

From that place the couple moved to near London, Canada, thence to near Grand Rapids, Mich., thence to Clinton county, Iowa, and thence to Waterloo in 1883, living here ever since.

Her children are Mrs. Heary Farnsworth and Elmer Sherk, residing in this city; Mrs. Alice Stifer, of Marshalltown; Mrs. Clara Saylor, of McPherson, Kan.; Edward who died in Canada, and Johnnie who died in Clinton county.

She has long been a member of the Dunkard church and was active in religious work.

Funeral services were held at the Dunkard church yesterday afternoon at 2:00.
