WATERLOO - Lyle M. Hoffman, 73, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, at his home of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Waterloo, son of John and Avis Bond Hoffman.

He married Helen V. Johnson Oct. 30, 1948, in Waterloo. She died Nov. 5, 1989.

Mr. Hoffman worked for Sears for more than 32 years.

Survived by a son, John M. of Hudson; two daughters, Vicky A. Clemons of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kellie S. Weber of Waterloo; and five grandchildren.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Marian.

Services were 11 a.m. today at Parrott and Wood Family Funeral Care, with burial in the Garden of Memories.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice.
