Irene J. Gall, 88, of Waterloo died Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born March 1, 1918 in Raymond, the daughter of George and Anna Marie Kremer OConnell.

She married James J. Gall on Sept. 3, 1938 in Waterloo. He died April 6 1975. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterloo and was a homemaker.

Survived by three sons: James F. of Waterloo, Greg A. (Peggy) of Kansas City, MO, and Ronald D. (Cindy) of Katy TX; four daughters: Mary M. (Curtis) Sanders of Morrison, MO, Elizabeth A. Gower of Aurora, CO, Nancy J. (Sandy) Knapp of Sheboygan, WI and Catherine I. (Bob Miner) Hansen of Denver, CO; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Theresa OConnell and Margaret OConnell both of Gilbertville.

Preceded in death by Grandson Dana Gall; three brothers: Daniel OConnell, Francis OConnell, and Richard OConnell; three sisters: Adelyn Lavenz, Mary Kay Shirley, and Imelda Maring.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Public visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Visitation also one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
