Janice M. Schmit. 63, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 11, 1944 in Sumner, daughter of Raymond Cleo and Della Marie Crabtree Snider.

She married Timothy Joseph Schmit May 28, 1982 in Waterloo. Janice was employed with John Deere Osco Drug and then with Standard Golf.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter Stacy (Jon) Shepherd of Irving, TX; three grandsons: Michael, Jacob, and Nicholas Shepherd; two sisters, Velesta Huebner of Sumner and Gayl (Lynn) Pakala of Dike; a brother, Merelyn (Cathie) Snider of Falls City, NE; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Snider of Maysville, KY and a brother Darwin (Kathryn) Snider of Stockbridge, MI.

Preceded in death by her parents and a brother Arlin Gene Snider.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 3:00 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and for an hour before services on Monday at the church.
