Doris Kirgis Fry, 93, of Largo, Fla., died Nov. 22, 2012. Doris was a longtime resident of Cedar Falls.
She is survived by her son, Kirk E. Fry and his wife, Pamela; grandchildren Christopher and Emily Fry; and a close nephew and his wife, Edward and Michele Elliott.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Fry
Doris was a longtime high school math teacher in Cedar Falls before retiring to the Seatowers Condominiums in St. Petersburg, Fla., and later to The Barrington in Largo.
A remembrance service will be held at The Barrington, 901 Seminole, Largo, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. In lieu of flowers, donations in Doris’ name to the Hearst Center for the Arts, Cedar Falls, can optionally be sent along with all condolences to Kirk Fry at 2604 Ross Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303. Final arrangements are with the Neptune Society of Tampa.
