Margaret Ann DeKoster, 86, of Waterloo died Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at Lakeview Landing. She was born April 2, 1920 in Peterson, Iowa, the daughter of Avery W. and Irma McMillan Kirchner.

Margaret Ann graduated from Peterson High School and Iowa State College. She married Dale K. DeKoster April 9, 1944 in Peterson. He died March 16 1993.

She was a member of PEO and Junior League was an avid golfer bridge player and a terrific mom and grandma.

Survivors include two sons, Jim (Marilyn) DeKoster of Waterloo and Dr. Robert (Evelyn) DeKoster of Cedar Falls; a daughter Cindy (David) Dunning of Marion; four grandchildren: John (Angela) DeKoster of Waterloo, Scott DeKoster of Chicago, IL, Erin DeKoster of Waterloo, and Casey Dunning of Marion; four step-grandchildren: Brian (Judeda) Hill of Waterloo, Clarissa Bailey of Denver, CO, Hosea Hill of Waterloo, and Delphina Harrington of Waterloo; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Morse of Spirit Lake and Irma Ruth (Tom) Polhemus of Englewood, CO.

Preceded in death by her husband; sister Mary Lott; brother James Kirchner and an infant son.

Family services will be held Saturday with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to Lakeview Landing at Friendship Village.
