Marthellen "Marty" Simbric, 91, of Waterloo died Saturday September, 29, 2007 at Parkview Nursing & Rehab Center.

She was born March 27, 1916 in Marshalltown, daughter of George Jennings and Dorothy Elemeta Taylor Lunkley.

She married Lawrence E. Simbric September 5 1936 in Manchester. He died August 16 1992.

Marty was employed at the Barn Clothing Store for many years retiring in 1979.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law Mary Simbric of Waterloo; four grandchildren: Jody (Wayne) Davis, of Grand Island, NE; Richard (Diane) Simbric of Springfield, MA; Joan (Tracy) Nanke of Cedar Falls and Beth (Kevin) Wagner of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her son Stephen James Simbric February 12, 2004 and a great-grandson Ben Davis August 24, 2002.

Private family services were held with inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Hospice.
