MARVINA MARIE COLE, was born January 10, 1919, the daughter of Earl and Marie (Boomhower) Wyatt. She died Sunday, December 30, 2001, at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Falls, at 82 years of age.

She married Frank W. Cole on August 14, 1946 in Preston, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on February 14, 1980. Marvina was a 1937 graduate of Reinbeck High School in Reinbeck, Iowa. She worked at Rath Packing Company in Waterloo, Iowa for many years and was a Nurse’s Aide at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. Marvina and her husband owned and operated Cole’s Café, on Main St. in Cedar Falls, for many years. She also worked for many years at Secure Sitter in Waterloo and as a hostess at the Cedar Falls Wendy’s Restaurant. Marvina was a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine.

Marvina is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Heitland (Marvin) of Parkersburg, Iowa and Marcia Gardiner (Paul) of Waverly, Iowa; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way, and two great-great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John; a brother, Everett Wyatt and her step-mother, Rosa Eastman Wyatt.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. at Hudson Cemetery in Hudson, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Falls.
