HAROLD ANDREW MURRAY

Harold A. Murray, 91, died on Sunday February 8, 2009, at Allen Memorial Hospital, from complications of pneumonia.

He was born November 23, 1917 in Lawler, Iowa, the son of John E. and Rosetta Costigan Murray.

He married Ann Virginia Mikes on November 24, 1947, in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on August 29, 2008.

He graduated from Lawler High School and later graduated from Hamilton Business College in Mason City. Harold worked at Rath Meat Packing Plant in the lard department for 25 years. He then retired from H&H Tool & Die in Cedar Falls working as a crib man.

He is survived by his daughter Mary Murray (Tom Daniels) of Waterloo three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents his wife and one great-grandson.

Services will be 10:30 am Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 pm Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 7 pm vigil service. Visitation also for an hour preceding services at the church on Thursday.
