Bob Closson Sr., 55, of Waterloo died Saturday Feb. 28, 2009 at home.

He was born January 19, 1954 in Waterloo, the son of Robert Milton and Pauline Jacoby Closson.

He married Kathy Kellner in 1973 in Waterloo they later divorced. He was employed as a truck driver for Shepherd Lumber until 1978. After 1978 Bob was self-employed in the area.

Survivors include his mother Pauline of Waterloo; a son, Bob Jr. (Shannon) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Tracy (Mike) Victoria, of Cedar Falls, and Jen (Chris) Renner of Janesville; six grandchildren; three sisters: Barb Ripley of Waverly, Bonnie Winther of Waterloo, and Cathy (Tom) Speaker of Cedar Falls; many neices and nephews.

Preceded in death by his father Robert; and an infant sister Cheryl Linn.

Memorial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with inurnment in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 4 p.m. Legion of Mary Rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
