LeRoy James Riggle, 90, of Dysart, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Sunnycrest Nursing Home in Dysart. He was born July 25, 1918 in La Porte City the son of Elmer and Margaret Engledows Riggle. He married Helen Elizabeth Roszell on August 6, 1938 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

He worked on the Railroad for 20 years and then worked for 17 years at the Mental Health Institution in Independence.

Survived by his wife, Helen of Dysart; one son, Lyle (Dixie) Riggle of Independence; two daughters, Barbara (Glen) Larson of La Porte City, Betty (Gordie) Young of Brandon; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and one brother, Ernest (Barbara) Riggle of Vinton.

Preceded in death by: his parents; one son, LeRoy and two sisters, Maxine Riggle and Marjorie Higley.

There will be no services. Private Family Inurnment will take place at the West View Cemetery in La Porte City.
