Robert D. Wade, 79, of Cedar Falls died Friday, August 29, at Sartori Hospital of complications from a fall.

He was born January 29, 1929 in Sac County, son of Ralph and Iola Paul Wade. He married Marilyn A. Bruns June 9, 1957 in Breda.

Mr. Wade was employed by John Deere & Company for 29 years before retiring. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn of Cedar Falls; two sons, Mike (Kari) Wade of Mile City, MT, and David Wade of Cedar Falls; four daughters: Janet (Will) Miller of Madison, WI, Connie (LaVern) Moyer of Waterloo, Diane (Scott) Schafer of Des Moines, and Teresa Wade of Independence, MO; one sister, Carol (Jack) Nuetzman of Wall Lake; and twelve grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond Wade.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Monday and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post #138 and VFW Post 1623.
