WATERLOO — Clark Martin Marquart, 85, of Charlo, Mont, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at St. Luke Hospital, Ronan, Mont.

He was born July 8, 1927, in Waterloo, son of Samuel and Elsie Marquart. He married Darlene Osgood on Nov. 30, 1948, in Littleton, Colo., and they later divorced. In 1961 he married Joy Parsons, and they later divorced. He married Betty Matt on Oct. 13, 1979.

Mr. Marquart served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific Theater during World War II. He was employed as a tool and die maker.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Keith (Pam) Marquart of Oklahoma, Rick (Paulette) Marquart of St. Ignatius, Mont., and John “Duffy” (Cora) McQuade of Federal Way, Wash.; 10 daughters, Christina (Wayne) Stalzer of Iowa, Denice (George) Goodale, Cheryl Colacurcio, Carol Gerisch and Paula Daquila, all of St. Ignatius, Stacey Kiehn, Kim Colacurcio-Snyder and Mae Daquila, all of Ronan, Bernice (Matt) Tallant of Seattle and Sandi (Matt) Stevens of Monroe, Wash.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by four brothers; and best friend, Andy Matt.

Celebration of life was Oct. 24 at Mission Mountain Worship Center, St. Ignatius, with graveside services 2 p.m. Monday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.

Clark was well known throughout the Charlo and Ronan area as the “lunch delivery man.” He treasured the relationships he built through his delivery service and enjoyed swapping stories with any and all who would listen. Of all of the joys in Clark’s life, there was no greater joy than that of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
