CEDAR FALLS — Irving O. Juhl, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

He was born July 22, 1920, in Carpenter, son of Christian and Emma Johnson Juhl. He married Irene Rindels on Oct. 4, 1938, in Waverly. She died Nov. 4, 1992.

Mr. Juhl served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was plant manager at Wagner Manufacturing for 30 years and at Wayne Engineering for 20 years, retiring in 1982. He also was a 51-year member of the VFW.

Survived by a son, Larry of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Tim and Ted (Welly) Juhl, and Toni (Brian) McCaffery; and a sister, Carol Goerke of Oelwein.

Preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Leonard and Chalmer.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with military honors conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
