EVANSDALE — Henrietta McClain, 90, of Evansdale, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo.

She was born April 22, 1922, in La Porte City, daughter of Herman and Rose Rupprich Nass. She married Marion Weisenberger in 1939, and they were later divorced. She then married Rollis “Whitey” McClain on Nov. 8, 1955. He died Nov. 27, 2005.

Mrs. McClain worked in the hog kill at Rath Packing Co. for 36 years.

Survived by two sons, John (Carol) Weisenberger of La Porte City and Larry (Eilene) Weisenberger of Evansdale; two stepsons, Jerry McClain of Waterloo and James McClain of Phoenix; two daughters, Sharon Herrmann of Waterloo and Sandra Scobee of Cedar Falls; a stepdaughter, Janean (Martin) McElmeel of Phoenix; a sister, Dorothy Gardner of Waterloo; 20 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Loren Nass; and a great-grandson.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Evansdale, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, and an hour before services Saturday at the church.
