VIOLA PEARL ELLIS

Miss Viola Pearl Ellis, 33, died at 3:30 p. m. yesterday at her home, 809 Walnut Street, after a year's illness of tuberculosis of the stomach.

She was born Nov. 20, 1892, at Cedar Rapids, came to Waterloo with her parents when she was a year old and had resided here since. Miss Ellis was saleswoman and collector for the Singer Sewing Machine company eight years, until ill health compelled her to cease work a year ago.

Decedent was a member of Grace M. E. Church and of M. B. A. lodge No. 57.

Surviving, besides her mother, Mrs. Pearl Ellis, are the following brothers and sisters: James T. and Frank, Waterloo; Miss Sarah May Barron, Webster City; Mrs. Jessie Wells, Waterloo.

Her father, William Ellis, died 11 years ago yesterday and another brother, Lloyd, died in April, 1918.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kistner Chapel, Rev J. Arthur Young, pastor of First M. E. Church officiating. Burial will be in Fairview.
