Cecilia was born June 15, 1916, in Stacyville, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Anna Gerber Falk.

She graduated from Visitation High School in Stacyville in 1935. She served her country, as a civilian, by helping build aircraft in Omaha, Neb. during World War II. She worked diligently at many jobs, ending at Bishop’s Buffet for 40 years, retiring in 1986.

Survivors include two sisters: Martha (D.O.) Palmer, San Diego, Calif. and Dorothy (Leo) Streit, Stacyville, Iowa; two brothers, Clem Falk, Austin, Minn. and Ernie Falk, Stacyville, Iowa; a sister-in-law: Violet Falk, Austin, Minn.; a brother-in-law: Clem Wolf, Waterloo, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two sisters, Sister Mary Cajetan (Marie) Falk, OSF and Trudy Wolf; a brother, Tony Falk, a sister-in-law, Cele Falk; a brother-in-law, Al Meek, a nephew, Eddie Streit and a special friend, Cecil L. Wayland.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Visitation Catholic Church, Stacyville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 5 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue for an hour before services at the church in Stacyville.

Memorials may be made to the Religious Retirement Fund.
