Phyllis Ann Fischels, 68, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at her home of cancer.

She was born May 4, 1939 in Albia, daughter of James R. and Katherine Murphy Eastlick. She graduated form St. Marys High School Waterloo in 1957.

She married Eugene C. Fischels on September 22 1958 at St. Marys Catholic Church Waterloo. She was employed as a teller for Regions Bank in Gilbertville retiring in 2002.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jeff (Susan) Fischels of Kansas City, Missouri and Chris (Shelby McNally) Fischels of Elk Run Heights; three daughters: Nancy (Tony) Dudley and Janet Paulsen both of Elk Run Heights, and Shari Scarbrough of Evansdale; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, James (Eileen) Eastlick of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville with burial in St. Marys Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 7:00 p.m. rosary. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Monday.

Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
