Suzette Renea Thyer, 50, of Waterloo, died Thursday August 23, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Iowa City following a lengthy illness.

She was born March 6, 1957 in Waterloo, daughter of Ernest Wayne and Irene Winifred Farrell Thyer. Suzette graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1975.

She was a child support recovery officer for Black Hawk County and the State of Iowa for 21 years retiring in 2001.

Survivors include a sister Cindy (David) Schake of Waterloo, two nieces, Tara (Robert) Duncan of Dunkerton and Tina (Brett) Engstrom of Waterloo, and six great-nieces and nephews: Andrew, Ashley, Aubrey, Preston, Parker, and Jaxton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Brethren Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hagarty Waychoff Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway.

Memorials may be made to the family.
