Laura Frances Fox was born July 15, 1926 in Mt. Auburn, Iowa: the daughter of Roscoe Leon and Florence Belle (Purdy) Rice.

She was married to Clyde Ringler in Missouri on January 1, 1944; he preceded her in death on March 5, 1967. Laura was united in marriage to Alvin Fox in September 30, 1967 in Evansdale; he preceded her in death on September 14, 1994.
She worked at Rath Packing Company retiring after 35 years of service. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, fishing and adored her dogs. Most of all, she loved her grandchildren dearly, they were the most important part of her life.

Laura passed away from natural causes on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Eldora Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes at the age of 86.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son Philip Ringler; a daughter Mary Pietan; three brothers: Roscoe, Jr., Robert and Donald and three sisters: Martha Hodges, Lorna Moos and Alberta Poppe.

Laura is survived by her daughter Nancy Blanchard of Evansdale; three granddaughters: Renee Elizabeth Krutsinger, Melanie Ellen (Tim) Zimmerman and Laura Mary (Joshua) Andersen; a grandson Michael Ray Pietan; eight great-grandchildren: Dustin Allen, Evan Robert, Heather Nicole, Anthony John, Jakob Lyle, Samantha Raye, Jordan James and Thomas Paul and a sister Delpha (Dean) Sorensen of Morrison, Iowa.

Laura will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
