Elizabeth M. Christian, was born July 5, 1919 in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon B. and Gladys O. (Boyd) Walker.

She married Ervin H. Christian on February 20, 1941 in Mason City, Iowa. Elizabeth was a graduate of Janesville High School. She was a seamstress and draperymaker, and farmed with her husband and family for many years. Elizabeth died Sunday, October 28, 2001, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa, at 82 years of age.

She is survived by her husband Ervin, of Waterloo; her children, Carmen E. Gutmann, and her husband George, of Ames, Iowa, and Donald Christian, and his wife Linda, of Waverly; four grandchildren: Stacia Axon, Eric Christian, Renee Murray and Rhonda Laurie; four great-grandchildren: Amber and Jacob Axon, Alexis Toll and Shawn Murray, and a sister, Verna Anderson, and her husband Mervin, of Sun City West, Arizona.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Park Boyd Walker and Elmer W. Walker.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cedar Falls, with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo.
