WATERLOO- Lois Maxine Trainor-Kersten, 81, of Waterloo, died September 22, 2012, at Country View Care Center in Waterloo.

She was born June 12, 1931, in Maryville, Missouri, daughter of Arthur and Ethel May (Burnsworth) Gaskill. She married Peter Trainor on September 4, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1979. She married Glenn Kersten in Quincy, Illinois, on June 12, 1980, and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2012.

She worked as a contractor for Warren Transport from 1962 until 2012, and was a house parent for Exceptional Persons Inc.

Survived by three daughters: Mary Ann Woodward of Cedar Falls, Jody (John) Drew-Lundy of Elk Run Heights, and Sandra Kay (Leon) Trainor-Meyer of Morriton, AR; one son, Jack E. (Lori Wagner) Trainor of Bowansville, PA; one sister, Isabelle Auffert of Maryville, MO; two brothers, Jack (Donna) Gaskill of San Antonio, TX, and Donald (Ann) Gaskill of Colorado Springs, CO; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mary Gaskill of Ottumwa.

Preceded in death by her son, David Eugene Cobb; two brothers, Kenneth and Jim Gaskill; and three sisters: Margaret Kinder, Viola Mae Conzs, and Lola Gaskill.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with burial in Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Service where there will be a 6:30 p.m. Fraternal Order of Eagles service. Visitation also for one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
