WATERLOO- Sarah May Moehlis, 95, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at Rosewood Estates.

She was born May 25, 1913 in Des Moines, daughter of Theodore and May Chubbock Haag. She married Lawrence C. Moehlis on June 9, 1931. He preceded her in death in 1976.

Mrs. Moehlis attended East Waterloo High School. She worked at the Waterloo Airport Convair cafe and at Bishop's Cafeteria in Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1983.

Survived by a daughter, Barbara Saucer Barnett of Cedar Rapids, and a son, Ronald (Judith) Moehlis of Cedar Falls; five grandsons, Gregory (Bertha) Moehlis of Coppell, Texas, Scott (Cara) Moehlis of Sterling, Illinois, Jeffrey (Allison) Moehlis of Goleta, California, Brian Saucer of Cedar Rapids, and Daniel Saucer (Lianne) of Sanford, Florida; and five great granddaughters, and two great grandsons, Naomi, Amanda, and Jonathan Moehlis, Teagan and Kaia Moehlis, and Logan and Janelle Saucer.

Preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son-in-law, Rev. Robert Barnett, and a grandson, Steven Saucer.

Private family committal services will be held Thursday at Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo. There will be no public visitation. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
