HUDSON IS DEAD;
RITES ON SUNDAY

Resident There Since 1915;
Survived by Daughter
and One Son.

HUDSON, IOWA—Banner L. Cook, 84, resident of Hudson since 1915, died Friday night after a month's illness of complications.

His death occurred at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Owen Campbell, where Mr. and Mrs. Cook had lived for many years, and where Mrs. Cook died May 6, 1938.

Banner Leroy Cook was born Sept. 24, 1858, in Ohio, and married Miss Eva Sandoe in 1878, at Martinsville, Illinois. The couple came to Hudson in 1915.

Mr. Cook was a member of the Church of God at Martinsville, and attended the Federated church in Hudson.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Hayes, Waterloo; a son, Bert Cook, Martinsville, Illinois; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the Federated hurch, Rev. Harvey Moon, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Harry Buss, pastor of the United Brethren Church.

Casketbearers will be A. E. Hollis, B. M. Sweitzer, Paul Anderson, F. M. Bowen, Herman Gutknecht and Henry Reimers.

Burial will be in Hudson Cemetery.
