David Frost (1948-2006)

WATERLOO - David Paul Frost, 58, of Waterloo, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at home after a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 30, 1948, in Waterloo, son of Dr. Irwin J. and Rita Otting Frost.
Mr. Frost attended St. Edward's and Columbus High School. He attended Loras College in Dubuque before being drafted into the U.S. Army for the Vietnam War. He worked for John Deere and various other jobs. He also owned and operated his own maintenance business. He loved fishing and helping others.

Survived by his mother of Waterloo; a stepdaughter, Sarah; seven sisters: Mary Ann (Jay) Paulukonis of Pennsylvania, Carolyn (David) Thogerson of Ames, Susan (Louis) Fettkether and Julie (Clayton) Thomas, both of Waterloo, Nancy (Don) Bellmont of Minnesota, Beth (Dan) Markowitz of Kansas and Lori (Sanjay) Shah of Cedar Rapids; six brothers, Edward (Francoise) of Virginia, Michael (Molly) of Massachusetts, Mark of Oklahoma, Robert (Jane) of Waterloo, Paul (Jana) of Nebraska and Ted (Joan) of Texas; 32 nieces and nephews; and three great-nephews and two great-nieces.

Preceded in death by his father; his aunt Melia; and a nephew.

Celebration of Life services: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
