WATERLOO — Clarence “Bud” Knox Jr., 65, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born July 6, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Clarence E. and Betty E. Rice Knox. He married Rosemary Cortright on July 30, 1966, and they later divorced. On Dec. 13, 2006, he married Marilyn Miller.

Mr. Knox graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1965 and attended Wartburg College. He went to work for John Deere in the foundry in 1971 and retired in 1998. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survived by his wife; a son, Matt (JoDee) of Cedar Falls; a daughter: Amy (JoAnn Blair) Knox of Laurel, Md.; a stepdaughter, Jennie (Dave) Dicken of Waterloo; and seven grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister, Becky Salisbury.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Prairie Lakes Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at a later date. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.
