WATERLOO - Merwin R. Hamer, 84, of 1410 W. Dunkerton Road, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at Country View of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 10, 1914, in Waterloo, son of Clarence J. and Elizabeth Reitz Hamer. He graduated from Orange High School.

Survivors include two sisters, Doris Jean Miller of Stockton, Kan., and Ruth Riedesel of Tipton.

Preceded in death by a brother, Robert P.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to South Waterloo Church of the Brethren or Country View.
