WATERLOO — Brian F. Buhrow, 67, of Kearney, Neb., formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 31,2012, at Montclair Nursing Home, Omaha, Neb.

He was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Waterloo, son of Lloyd and Florence Babcock Buhrow. He married Shirley F. Thein and she preceded him in death.

He was a 1962 graduate of Waterloo East High School and a 1975 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. Following his tenure as an auditor with the IRS, he was employed with Contryman and Associates in Nebraska, retiring in 2010.

Survived by two daughters, Melissa Buhrow and Amanda Buhrow, both of Omaha; a son, Richard of Omaha; six grandchildren; three brothers, Dr. William Buhrow of San Antonio, Dr. Guy Buhrow of Osage and Bruce Buhrow of Denver; and a sister, Beth Buhrow Hilleman of Cheyenne, Wyo.

Graveside services: 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at Garden of Memories, Waterloo, followed by a Celebration of Life at American Best Value Inn, Waverly.
