WATERLOO — Alice Marie Albright, 81, of Waterloo, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at her daughter’s home of lung cancer.

She was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of Thomas and Frances McGuire Ruane. She married Raymond Albright Aug. 25, 1951, in Waterloo. He died April 9, 1997.

She was employed at Northwestern Bell, Rath Packing Co., and was a certified nursing assistant with Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center and Covenant Medical Center, retiring in 1996.

Survived by a daughter, Vicki (Dave) Wildeboer of Waterloo; four sons: Jerry of Seward, Alaska, Jim and Patrick, both of Waterloo, and Mike (Julie) of Waverly; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Gory of Palos Hills Ill., and Rita (Jim) Bast of Livermore, Calif.; and three brothers: Robert (Marge) Ruane of Braidwood, Ill., Ray Ruane of Waterloo and Brother Tom Vernard Ruane M.M. of Los Altos, Calif.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Lee; a grandson, Chris Albright; two sisters, Bonnie (Don) Asch and Fran (Chuck) Felkins; a sister-in-law, Doris Ruane; and a brother-in-law, Hank Gory.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty–Waychoff–Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or American Cancer Society.
