WATERLOO – James H. “Jim” Rosauer, 82, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 17, at Allen Hospital.

He was born June 15, 1930, in Ionia, son of Julius C. and Susan Glaser Rosauer. He married Lucille A. Beard on Oct. 16, 1954, in New Hampton.

Mr. Rosauer worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing Co., then Schoitz Engineering and finally as a machinist at John Deere Tractor Manufacturing Co.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Mike (Jeanette) of Bonney Lake, Wash., and Tim (Sheryl) of Evansdale; three daughters: Debbie (Craig) Walton, Diane (Jeff Edgar) Edgar and Joan (Brian) Shepard, all of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren, Randall Walton, Nicholas Walton, Lacey Rosauer, Tristan Perkins, Alison Rosauer, Joel Rosauer, Mindy, Megan and Josh Edgar, Alex and Audrey Shepard and Ashley Fairchild; eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Lydia, Nora, Ira, Colton, Rylie, Cordé and Alayna; a brother, Vince of Oregon; and six sisters, Fran Neville and Patty (Rick) Stoddard, both of Washington, Rita (Ski) Weber of Colorado, Dolores Ungs of Iowa, Terri (Jack) Duffin of California and Lucy Ferguson of Hawaii.

Preceded in death by three brothers: Jerry, Joe and Bobby; and three sisters: Marie Mendenhall, Lou Rawdon and Judy Vickers.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with inurnment in Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. rosary. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church.
