EVANSDALE, IOWA — Edna Joyce Cleveland Hostetler, 68, of Evansdale, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, due to complications from surgery.

She was born on July 22, 1943, in Phoenix, Arizona, daughter of Florence Bagley and Stephen Cleveland. She married Jose Rosario in 1968; they later divorced. She married Robert Hostetler in 1982, and they later divorced.

Mrs. Hostetler attended high school at Peoria High in Peoria, Arizona. She held various jobs throughout her life, but maintained her role as homemaker, mother and friend.

Edna is survived by three sons, Jose "JJ" (Catalina "Cata") Rosario of Peoria and Julio (Kayeleen) Rosario and James Rosario, both of Fairbank; a daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" (Charles) Manis of Denver; eight grandchildren, Aidan Rosario, Isabella Hostetler, Lorelei Hostetler, Andy Manis, Samantha Manis, Viktoria Anderson, Kirsten Wierck and Adelynn Wierck; three brothers, Stephen, Richard and Roger; six sisters, Nancy, Barbara, Judy, Claudia, Patricia and Susan; and many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gene; a sister, Ilene; and her ex-husband Jose.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Celebration First Assembly of God, 745 April St., Waterloo. Iowa Cremation Society, Cedar Rapids, is assisting with arrangements.
