Angela Mary Theisen, 99, of the Western Home, Cedar Falls, died there Wednesday, March 21, 2007.

She was born March 4, 1908 in Fairbank, daughter of Charles and Veronica Fettkether Durnan.

She married William P. “Bill” Theisen June 30, 1937 in Fairbank. He died January 27, 1993.

Angela graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Fairbank and from Mercy Hospital College of Nursing in 1929. She was employed, as a registered nurse, at St. Francis Hospital, Covenant Medical Center and was later employed with Hawkeye Tech.

Survivors include a son, William M. (Bonnie) Theisen of Des Moines; 2 daughters, Mary (Gerard) Rochford of Sumner and Angela (Luther E.) Webb of Colorado Springs, CO; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dolorita Durnan of Minneapolis, MN; Frances Schmadeke of Waterloo and Veronica (Jack) Cobb of Cedar Falls.

Preceded by three brothers, Joseph, Leo and Bernard Durnan; two sisters, Sr. Mary Valeria, PBVM and Regina Durnan.

Services will be 10:30 Monday, March 26, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Fairbank. Public visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4:00 p.m. Rosary.
