CEDAR FALLS — Larry E. Gordon, 65, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Des Moines, son of Ralph and Hazel Reves Gordon. He married Mary Jo McKinney on June 15, 1968, in Waukee, and they were later divorced. He married Marilyn Carley on July 17, 1999, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Gordon graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes High School and from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in accounting. He worked for Latta’s and John Deery Motors, and in 2000 started his own school supply company. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam.

Survived by his wife; a son, Shawn (Jennifer Blount) of Wheaton, Ill.; a daughter, Nikki (Dave) Conner of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren, Gabe, Lucas and Isaac Conner and Ella and Elise Gordon; and his mother of Madrid.

Preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Lovelle and Loren Gordon.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Sunny Hill Cemetery, Grimes. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the church and Allen Hospital.

Larry had a passion for photography and enjoyed fishing in Canada and various places in Iowa.
