WATERLOO - Doris "Diane" Miller, 58, of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Allen Hospital following a lengthy illness with cancer.

She was born July 31, 1953, in Carmi, White County, Ill., daughter of Robert Sr. and Hazel Johnson Allison. She married Arden B. Miller on March 18, 1972, in Fountain, Colo.

Mrs. Miller graduated from Carmi Township High School and was a homemaker.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Jennifer (Jared) Boyd and Jaime (Joel) Gelner, both of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Cameron, Branden, Mackenzie Frederick, Julean Boyd and Gage and Trevor Gelner.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Allison.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Diane loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed playing pepper.
