WATERLOO, IOWA - Dale E. Wolf, 81, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.

He was born October 20, 1930, in Waterloo, son of Emil and Dorothy Stanard Wolf. He married Darlene Burris, and they later divorced. He married Helen M. McCrady on June 21, 1980, at Immanuel Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Wolf attended Waterloo schools and worked for Waterloo Community Schools for 25 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church.

Survived by his wife; four daughters: Helen Wolf and Karen (Craig) Schellhorn, both of Waterloo, Becky Wolf of New Hampton and Sally (Michael) McCrady Guillian of Waldo, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five sisters: Jean Shepard, Marion Matthias and Barbara Wolf, all of Waterloo, Ruth Mishler of Waverly and Bonnie Whiteside of Bull Head City, Arizona.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Seehawer; a great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Helen Schilling and Betty Fulton.

Services will be on Wednesday at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Waterloo American Legion Post 138, VFW Post 1623 and the Iowa National Guard. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Locke Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
