Lester H. Hostetler 95, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Les was born October 2, 1911 in Waterloo, the son of Smith Sherman & Mary Elizabeth (Felsing) Hostetler.

He married Naomi Mary Lubbs on August 16, 1941 in Princeton, Missouri. Les was a graduate of Waterloo East High School and served as a corporal in the Iowa National Guard from 1929-1934. He was an inspector at John Deere Tractor Works, retiring in December of 1974, after 40 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Hostetler, of Cedar Falls. Les was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Harry, Joe, Ralph, Charles and Claude Hostetler, and his sister, Lepha Hostetler.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2007, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church in Cedar Falls, with interment at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
