WATERLOO, IOWA — Kathleen Marie "Candy" Ducote of Bunkie, Louisiana, 54, formerly of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, May 20, 2012, of cancer.

She was born January 15, 1958, in Waterloo, daughter of Wayne and Dixie McCallum Reddick. She married Gary Willard and they later divorced. She then married Paul Ducote.

Kathleen wis survived by her mother, Dixie Miller of Waterloo; her husband; a daughter, Maria Halstead of Bunkie; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Gary (Anne) Reddick of Shreveport, La., Michael Reddick of Tucson, Ariz., and Paul (Shelly) Miller of New Hartford; two sisters, Laina (Dana) Hunt of Parkersburg, Comelia Fisher of Rockledge, Fla.; and a stepsister, Leanne Henderson of Marksville, La.

She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Lorraine; stillborn quadruplet babies; and a brother, Chad Reddick.

She was cremated and a memorial was held at the Melancon Funeral Home in Bunkie.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Bend Humane Society.

Candy was called home by God to take care of her babies in heaven. She was such a loving person and never had a bad word for anyone. She loved crocheting, reading, spending time with her family and pets, and helping others. She will be missed by many.
