ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Kathie Kay Philo, 66, of Elk Run Heights, died at home Monday, April 23, 2012.

She was born July 1, 1945, in Plainfield, daughter of John and LaVonna Zinn Kasemeier. She married Garnet Philo on March 14, 1970, in Galena, Ill.

Survived by her husband; two sons, Mark of Waterloo and Tim (Kelley) of Independence; two daughters, Vallory (Dan) Joy of Waterloo and Kimberly (Jim) Whitfield of Winslow, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and two brothers, John and LaVern Kasemeier.

Services: 5 p.m. Friday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Evansdale. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
