WATERLOO — Theodore Wood, 93, of Friendship Village, died there Saturday, April 21, 2012.

He was born April 21, 1919, in Chetek, Wis., son of Eugene and Vance Goolsbey Wood. He married Marion Wyke on June 9, 1946, in Minneapolis.

Mr. Wood graduated from Chetek High School in 1937 and attended Superior State Teachers College, Superior, Wis. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad for 38 years in Cleveland, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Waterloo, retiring as regional sales manager in 1979. He served in the U.S. Army in the Asiatic Pacific theater with the 32nd Division Medical Detachment. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Chetek Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and Zuhrah Shrine.

Survived by his wife.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial following cremation in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Locke Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Friendship Village Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
