CEDAR FALLS — Victoria L. “Vickie” McConeghey Herwehe, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, April 1, at NewAldaya Lifescapes.

She was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Jasper County, daughter of Keith and Fay Allen McConeghey.

Mrs. Herwehe graduated from Monroe High School, Monroe, in 1953. She worked as a correspondence clerk of premium accounting at American Mutual Life, Des Moines, for 20 years, retiring in 1995.

Survived by a son, Jerold of Apex, N.C.; two daughters, Julia Petterson of Inner Grove Heights, Minn., and Michelle (Jeff) Wheeler of Dunkerton; eight grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Pille of Des Moines; and her twin brother, Miles “Mick” McConeghey of Monroe.

Preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte McConeghey.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Monroe United Methodist Church, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Silent City Cemetery, Monroe, at a later date. Coburn Funeral Home, Monroe, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the Monroe Public Library or the Iowa Hospice Foundation.
