WATERLOO — Kenneth Robert Knutson, 74, of Portland, Ore., formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 15.

He was born June 5, 1937, in Waterloo, son of Kenneth Oscar Knutson and Naomi W. Roloff.

Mr. Knutson graduated from Waterloo West High in 1955. He received an associate’s degree in business, banking and computer technology. He worked for KXEL radio in Waterloo and then went on to work at First National Bank of Waterloo and the Waterloo Police Department. He worked in executive positions in the banking industry and computer control centers in California, Washington and Oregon, retiring from KKPZ radio. He was an elder at Rose City Park Presbyterian Church, Portland.

Survived by a sister, Phyllis I. Buttke of Portland; three nephews, Bob, Brad and Gary Buttke; two nieces, Lorie Policar and Sharon Boland; and their families.

Preceded in death by an infant sister, Janice.

Services: Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo. A family remembrance will take place at a later date.
