WATERLOO — Kenneth L. Regan, 82, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 28, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls.

He was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Waukon, son of James and Anna Welch Regan. He married Dorothy Kerndt on July 19, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing. She died June 27, 1984. He married Evelyn Seivers on Nov. 24, 1985, at Zion Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Mr. Regan served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was employed as the head custodian for the Waterloo Community School System for 28 years, 23 years at West Junior High School.

Survived by his wife, of Cedar Falls; a son, Michael (Jil) of Waterloo; two daughters, Denise (Kenneth) Becker of Lansing and Karen (Vern) Seidl of Clive; many grandchildren; two stepsons, Michael (Gayln) Heacock of Swaine, Wash., and Rick (Nancy) Heacock; and two stepdaughters, Michelle (Tom) Rising of Fayetteville, GA., and Paula (Jim) Davis of Ellijay, GA.

Preceded in death by three brothers, James, Leo and Francis "Bud:" and three sisters, Celia Roffman, Mary Stilwell and Agnes Regan in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with inurnment at a later date in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing. Full military rites will be conducted at the church by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be 4 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Monday at the church

Memorials may be directed to the family for a charitable organization to be determined, in lieu of flowers.
